keystone bank
AUSTIN, TX
Keystone Bank, one of the fastest-growing banks in Texas, was founded on the principles of integrity, honesty and resilience. Their ethos is centered around their customers and the understanding that their patrons are different and have different needs. Working with Keystone Bank to design signage for two locations, we too focused on the user experience, as well as scalability. While the Pressler Street location in Austin was intended to serve downtown customers primarily, the Bee Cave, Texas location was built to be their headquarters and required us to consider both the experience for customers and Executive team members.

Exterior Signage at Keystone Bank at Pressler St. in Austin, TX
The Keystone Bank Pressler building presented a unique challenge. The existing awning was curved. We had to calculate the curvature of the awning, the angle of the intersection, and the vantage points of drivers and pedestrians, to determine how the logo mark would maintain its integrity while accommodating the uniquely round surface it would mount to. Illuminated face-lit channel letters are mounted to custom curved lightweight aluminum wireways painted to match the building, designed to discreetly house the power supplies while providing minimal penetrations in the exterior of the building. The result is an illuminated primary identity sign that clearly considers the architecture and brand.
Specialty Interior Signage: Podcast Room
The Pressler location features a podcast room. For this unique space we designed an illuminated sign cabinet that allows them to relocate if needed, while feeling permanent and intended for the space. Bright white LEDs back three-quarter inch routed clear acrylic that extends beyond the face of the cabinet. The layered, multi-dimensional look of routed-out-push-through is a design approach that truly elevates this sign.
Regulatory and Accessibility Signage (ADA/TAS)
While ADA is required for all public spaces, the integrity of ADA signage within a bank is particularly important. Texas banks must adhere to ADA standards as well as TAS standards, which have strict requirements around visible policies, notices, and messaging. Our design solution for ADA room signs at both Keystone Bank locations include dark gray and dark blue tactile text over frosted acrylic, providing strong contrast for increased visibility, while clear integrated Grade 2 braille serves visually impaired users that require braille. Together, these details create a signage solution that is both functional and aligned with accessibility regulations, while also maintaining a clean, modern, brand-aligned aesthetic that complements the beautiful interior design.
Exterior Signage at Keystone Bank in Bee Cave, TX - Headquarters
Keystone Bank’s Headquarters is located in Bee Cave Texas. Positioned on a busy road, multiple exterior monument signs were needed to help drivers identify the building as well as navigate the parking lot and drive-thru lanes. These monument signs were designed to feel like a natural extension of the building’s architecture. With smooth limestone cladding, and painted aluminum structural cabinets, the exterior monuments directly tie to the details of the building’s façade. Bee Caves, Texas has dark sky ordinances so we designed reverse-lit channel letters to offer a subtle halo glow, giving the signage presence at all hours without disturbing the natural landscape of the Hill Country.
Specialty Interior Signage: Executive and Community Spaces
This location offered multiple opportunities for brand elevating signage. From the community center to the lobby coffee bar to the break room, we developed subtle illuminated and non-illuminated signs that aligned with their environments to avoid feeling overly branded or visually loud. Upstairs in the Executive suites, rather than leaning into signage that reads as commercial, we introduced a refined gold frame with just the Keystone logo mark in edge-lit routed acrylic. The interior signage was designed to deliver a sophisticated brand impression while effectively showing consideration for guests, Team Members, and Executives who are in the space daily.
This project required balancing compliance, visual communication, brand impression, and customer experience across two very distinct locations. From meeting accessibility standards to integrating signage with interior design and exterior architecture, to tailoring the design for both customers and executives, every element was considered with Keystone’s ethos in mind. The result is a cohesive system that is elevated, approachable, and memorable.
