Project Manager

We are Studio Dzo. We design for space over surfaces. Take our team's extensive experience in visual design, branding, marketing, communication, and education; combine it with our expert knowledge and understanding of code compliance, materials, engineering, and fabrication, along with our global relationships; and we like to consider ourselves in a league of our own.

We are looking for an awesome Project Manager that’s ready to join a fast, fun and friendly team of creatives. We are seeking a strong communicator with the ability to manage budgets, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and installers. A highly organized professional with an ability to assess challenges and provide solutions based on experience and common sense. Having spent time in fabrication management, construction management, environmental design or interior design would be a huge plus. 

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering excellent and professional client service at every touchpoint.

  • Managing several internal project timelines, ensuring that all projects meet deadlines, deliverables, and company quality standards, while proactively solving for unknowns and challenges, and maintaining project budgets.

  • Required to organize collaborative communications between internal departments, clients, and subcontractors, supporting each project through design, engineering, estimating, fabrication, shipping, and installation.

  • Required to perform code analysis, negotiate with subcontractors for obtaining estimates, and coordinate manufacturing, delivery, and install activities.

  • Ability to refer to designs and specifications, previous estimates, contracts, and engineering drawings to rapidly assist.

  • Establish reasonable lead times and set proper expectations with our clients, vendors and internal team.

  • Availability to perform limited travel to job sites, clients, and vendor locations.

  • Required to expand industry knowledge through identifying educational opportunities.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks both independently and in teams in a deadline driven environment.

  • Ability to quickly retain and retrieve information

  • Strong  problem-solving skills rooted in common sense and experience

  • Detailed oriented - Acute ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and potential losses.

  • Proficient knowledge and experience using Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs)

  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat - Editing, marking-up and combining PDF files

  • Highly organized and process oriented

Experience:

  • Extensive interaction with clients, vendors, and the leadership team

  • Sourcing, vetting, selecting and successfully managing subcontractors and timelines

  • Substantial and successful experience in maintaining project budgetary parameters, purchase order process, and project billing 

Education:

  • While this role typically requires related higher education along with 3-5 years of relative experience, we are seeking the best candidate regardless of years of experience and education.
